Warranty Policy
Bayshore Powersports takes pride in delivering quality powersports and watersports products backed by dependable warranty coverage. This Warranty Policy outlines both manufacturer warranties and limited reseller support, along with what is and is not covered. Our goal is to ensure your confidence in every purchase.
What Is a Warranty?
A warranty is a promise that a product will function as intended for a specific period, under normal use and maintenance. It typically covers defects in materials or workmanship but does not include issues resulting from misuse, neglect, or wear and tear. A warranty is not the same as a return policy or insurance coverage.
Manufacturer’s Warranty
Most vehicles and equipment sold by Bayshore Powersports include a standard manufacturer’s warranty provided directly by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). These warranties generally offer:
Coverage for defects in materials or workmanship
Access to service through authorized dealers or service centers nationwide
Warranty terms range from 6 months to 3 years, depending on the product and brand
We encourage all customers to review the warranty booklet provided with their product or visit the manufacturer’s website for complete terms, including any registration or scheduled maintenance requirements necessary to maintain coverage.
Bayshore Powersports Limited Reseller Warranty
For select products not fully covered by a manufacturer's warranty, Bayshore Powersports offers a Limited Reseller Warranty as additional support. This warranty is designed to help customers address post-delivery concerns and navigate warranty claims.
Eligibility:
Applies to eligible products purchased directly from Wehman Motorsports
Not valid for items already covered by a manufacturer warranty
Warranty Period:
Coverage begins on the purchase date, delivery date, or activation date, whichever comes first
If delivery tracking is unavailable, coverage begins 30 days after shipment
Valid for up to 180 days from the date of delivery
Coverage Includes:
Protection against delivery-related damage
Assistance with filing warranty claims through the manufacturer
Inspection and documentation support to aid in claim processing
What Is Not Covered
To ensure clarity and reduce confusion, the following are excluded from both manufacturer and reseller warranty coverage:
Damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, or abuse
Normal wear-and-tear items (tires, brake pads, chains, fluids, filters, etc.)
Unauthorized repairs, tampering, or disassembly
Any modifications or aftermarket parts installed after purchase
Cosmetic imperfections (scratches, scuffs, discoloration)
Improper storage, lack of routine maintenance, or environmental exposure
Use in racing, rental, or other commercial applications unless explicitly stated
Maintaining Warranty Coverage
To keep your warranty valid, customers are responsible for:
Performing routine maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines
Keeping records of service and inspections
Using only OEM-recommended fluids, parts, and accessories
Completing any product registration required by the manufacturer
Warranty Transferability
Warranty coverage (manufacturer or reseller) is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser listed on the invoice, unless otherwise stated by the OEM.
Return Shipping & Inspection Responsibility
Customers may be responsible for the cost of return shipping, inspection, or packaging required for warranty claims unless stated otherwise in writing or mandated by law. Bayshore Powersports will provide support, instructions, and labels when applicable.
